Sculpting tiny creatures and designs in precious metal clay in order to create unique silver jewelry is a wonderful obsession. Yet my eyes require a little break from working on a miniature scale.

Air dry paper clay is an excellent alternative material to delve unto my fascination with sculpting on a somewhat larger scale. As a working media it is so easy and flexible. I'm looking forward to expanding from bas relief sculpting (2d, one sided, detailed) to full 3d work on armature.

Yep, I'm still painting! But the creative spirit in me requires expansion, exploration and adventure. It's so deeply satisfying and rewarding! And I believe that exploring and developing my skills in multiple disciplines can only deepen my work as a whole.

I plan to create a small collection of sculptures that may be available to purchase in the new year.

Stay tuned!
